Tiger teams shine in spring

Lacrosse

Princeton's varsity teams have continued to rack up Ivy League titles this spring and will be competing for national honors in the coming weeks.

Golf

The men's and women's golf teams repeated as Ivy champions this spring, with the women's team taking its third league title in the past five years. The men's team will compete in the NCAA tournament beginning Thursday, May 19. The women's squad placed 12th in the NCAA east regional last week.

Princeton's softball team is headed to the NCAA tournament after winning its third Ivy title in four years and finishing the regular season at 35-18. The Tigers will learn the location and time of their next game when tournament selections are announced Sunday, May 15.

The women's lacrosse team, which finished second in the Ivy league, earned a No. 8 seed  in the NCAA tournament and will face Maryland in the first round at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at home in Class of 1952 Stadium. The two teams are perennial powerhouse programs in women's lacrosse.

Princeton's rowers have enjoyed a strong spring and are heading into the Eastern Sprints on Sunday. The women's open and lightweight teams are both ranked No. 1, and the open crew is looking to win a second straight Ivy championship. The men's heavyweight and lightweight teams also will compete for league titles at the Eastern Sprints.
