Campus computing network outage set for 5 to 11 a.m. Oct. 29

An outage of the Princeton University campus computing network is scheduled for 5 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, as the Office of Information Technology (OIT) performs maintenance on the network infrastructure.

For users on campus, all network services will be unavailable, including email, Web pages and other computing activity conducted over the Internet. Certain resources may become available sooner than 11 a.m.

OIT is working to keep most University computing services -- including the University core website, IMAP email, and Exchange email and calendaring -- available for people off campus during the scheduled work.

Throughout the outage, the OIT website will be updated with information about the status of service availability and will be viewable from off campus. The OIT Help Desk (609-258-4357) will be open throughout the outage to answer questions.
