Student work: 'Paris, Ni Hao'

The film "Paris, Ni Hao" follows eight first- and second-generation Chinese immigrants in Paris to provide an intimate look at immigration and the mixed emotions surrounding it. The film, created by junior Sharon Deng with support of the Martin A. Dale '53 Summer Award, will premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in McCormick Hall, Room 101. The event is free and open to the public, and the film is in French and Chinese with English subtitles.

"Specks of Dust," a documentary by Princeton University junior Azza Cohen and Class of 2014 graduate Shaina Watrous, will have its premiere screening at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in McCormick Hall, Room 101, and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the James M. Stewart '32 Theater at 185 Nassau St. The documentary follows the lives of individuals fighting for justice for the survivors of human trafficking in Varanasi, India.

Fifteen Princeton sophomores win Dale Summer Awards .

Fifteen sophomores are winners of this year's Martin A. Dale '53 Summer Awards, which provide a $5,000 stipend to pursue a summer project not connected to students' academic coursework.

University will host Handel festival .

International scholars and performers dedicated to honoring the life and works of Baroque composer George Frideric Handel will gather at the University for the American Handel Society conference on Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23. This is the second time the American Handel Society has held its biennial festival at Princeton; the first was in 2007.

Alumni celebrate 100 years of Jewish life at Princeton .

A century after small Friday night dinners marked the earliest expressions of Jewish life on campus, Princeton University alumni spanning eight decades returned to campus for a three-day conference, " L'Chaim! To Life: Celebrating 100 Years of Jewish Life at Princeton."

'Boris Godunov' premiere takes center stage .

After months of inspired collaborations between Princeton scholars, students and artists, the curtain will rise on the University's world premiere production of "Boris Godunov" Thursday through Saturday, April 12-14, at the Berlind Theatre.

Princeton names Center for the Arts after donor Lewis .

Princeton University on Thursday, Nov. 8, named its new arts center the Peter B. Lewis Center for the Arts in recognition of the $101 million gift Lewis pledged last year to support the University's major arts initiative.
