Temporary outage of University internet, email and phone planned for early Saturday morning

Princeton University data and voice networks will be unavailable from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, due to planned maintenance by the Office of Information Technology. The temporary outage will affect emergency calling from the University telephone system. If you have an emergency during the outage, please use your cell phone to dial 911 to reach the Department of Public Safety.

The temporary outage will affect University internet and email, campus telephones and elevator phones, and the University’s emergency blue light system.

Outage will affect computing services .

Most campus computing network services will be unavailable from 5 to 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to scheduled maintenance being performed on all of the core campus routers by the Office of Information Technology.

Routes to campus, residents affected by storm -- UPDATED 9:30 P.M. .

Because of severe storms that moved through the area Monday, Aug. 16, Faculty Road between Washington Road and Harrison Street remains closed, and is expected to be closed throughout the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 17. Faculty, staff and students that typically arrive on campus via Faculty Road and Washington Road should plan alternate routes due to downed tree limbs and power lines. Alexander Road is open, and Washington Road is accessible via Nassau Street.

Emergency notification system test set for Friday, Oct. 21 .

The University will conduct a campus-wide test of its emergency notification system beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, to ensure that members of the University community can receive information during a campus crisis or emergency.
