January 17, 2005

Dear Jadwin Jungle Members:

As you finish finals and head off for intercession, I wanted to personally thank you for your continued support of our basketball team and remind you that our Ivy League season starts in just a few weeks on January 28th.  At our home opener, it was awesome to walk out of the locker room and see the sea of orange across from our bench.  It reminded me why I decided to come back to Princeton.  The effort of the "Jungle" that night certainly helped us grind out a great win over Rutgers.

Now, it's crunch time as the Ivy League schedule begins.  Our goal this year is the same as it is every year: win the league championship and a bid in the NCAA Tournament.  One way to accomplish this is through the hard work and determination of our players. The other is by having a strong, supportive student base like you that makes Jadwin the toughest home court in the Ivy League.

We have a huge home Ivy Weekend with Brown on Friday, January 28th and Yale on Saturday, January 29th .  Tip-off for both games is at 7:30 pm in Jadwin. Having a loud and supportive “Jungle” at both games will make a huge difference by giving us a solid home court advantage.

Thanks again for your support of our team.  I look forward to walking out of the locker room to that sea of orange once again on Friday, January 28th.
