Safety Management Resources

• Wilderness Risk Management Committe (WRMC) Incident Report Form Instructions Page. The WMRC collects incident data from outdoor programs across the globe in order to identify trends and establish directions for improvement in outdoor programming. All outdoor programs are encouraged to submit data on an annual basis. This page has the reporting form an instructions for submitting data. It will also be helpful to outdoor programs in classifying their own incidents. 
• Adventure Program Risk Management Report 1995: Incident Data and Narratives, 1989 & 1990 - this new publication is an excellent resource for anyone from admistrators to instructors charged with managing risk in adventure programming. Both backcountry/wilderness-based and facility-based (i.e., ropes courses and climbing towers) programming data are included. A joint project of the Association for Experiential Education and the Wilderness Risk Managers Committee. Contact the AEE Office for ordering information.
