A letter from a reader about Woody Allen and Tiger Magazine Your mention of Woody Allen's Princeton connection (cover story, March 21) took me back to when we interviewed him for Tiger Magazine in 1969. He was early in his career, appearing for the only time on Broadway in Play It Again, Sam. Instead of going for laughs, Allen gave us a serious discussion of theater, fame, and the unknowability of women, and he seemed to appreciate Princeton's attention. That issue of Tiger Mag sold out, and I am told that Mr. Allen has done very well himself. Can there be any doubt that Tiger Mag paved the way for Rockefeller and Firestone? MICHAEL DIEFFENBACH '70
