Building Committee
Princeton University in February 2009 announced the selection of Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects to design laboratory, office and lecture spaces to house the Andlinger Center. The architects' initial plans were presented in May 2010. These plans built on the work of Davis Brody Bond Aedas, a leading architectural design practice, which produced a Program Study for the Andlinger Center. The Andlinger Center will be located in an Energy and Environment neighborhood comprising existing space in the Engineering Quadrangle and a new, state-of-the-art shared facility laboratory. A faculty steering committee is working closely with the architects. In October 2010, the steering committee was renamed the Building Committee to better reflect its activities. The members of the Building Committee are
- Emily Carter, Founding Director, Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment; Gerhard R. Andlinger Professor in Energy and the Environment; Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Applied and Computational Mathematics
- Pablo Debenedetti, Class of 1950 Professor in Engineering and Applied Science; Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering; Vice-Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Science (Chair)
- Claire Gmachl, Professor of Electrical Engineering
- H. Vincent Poor, Michael Henry Strater University Professor of Electrical Engineering; Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Science
- Richard Register, Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering; Chair, Chemical and Biological Engineering Department
- Ignacio Rodriguez-Iturbe, James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering
- James Sturm, William and Edna Macaleer Professor of Engineering and Applied Science; Professor of Electrical Engineering; Director, Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials
