Born in Detroit, Michael Eric Dyson has written and edited eighteen books on topics ranging from Malcolm X to Nas to Bill Cosby. He hosts The Michael Eric Dyson Show, and Ebony magazine has named him one of the one-hundred most influential black Americans. His book “Come Hell or High Water: Hurricane Katrina and the Color of Disaster” (2006) won the American Book Award. A graduate of Princeton University, he currently teaches sociology at Georgetown University.
