American Studies Association Conference

We encourage graduate students to attend the annual conference of the American Studies Association.

The (Re)production of Misery and the Ways of Resistance,
October 8-11, 2015, Toronto, Canada

We will reimburse the following costs associated with attendance at the ASA conference:

  • Airfare
  • Registration
  • Two nights lodging at the conference hotel (room sharing, if possible)
  • Meals for two days – receipts required

Students are eligible for one trip during their tenure at Princeton.

We will consider supporting a second trip to ASA or other interdisciplinary  conferences if the student is presenting a paper on a topic in American Studies.

Students who are interested in this funding should apply online in SAFE prior to their proposed trip, including information about the conference and a proposed budget.  Following the trip, students should upload receipts into SAFE within 30 days.

The deadline for applications for the Fall 2015 conference is October 1.
