Research in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program

Firestone Library
Research in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program (AOS) focuses on our understanding of the atmosphere, ocean and climate system. This encompasses the physics, chemistry, dynamics, and circulation of both the atmosphere and the ocean, as well as biological processes both on land and in the ocean.
The principal sub-disciplines represented by research in AOS are:
- Past, Present and Future Climate
- Ocean Dynamics and Circulation
- Global Biogeochemical Cycles
- Atmospheric Dynamics and Circulation
- Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry
Each research topic is described in this section of the website as well as the faculty, researchers and students engaged in each.
Prospective students and postdocs are encouraged to contact the faculty to find out more about ongoing research at AOS.
