Research Field
The primary objective of my research is to improve our understanding of changes in terrestrial ecosystem related to climate change and its feedback influence on climate. Terrestrial vegetation exerts strong controls on ecosystem function in climate and plays a major role in carbon cycle.
Specific topics:
1. Developing/improving ecosystem parameterizations in Earth system model (GFDL/ESM)
2. Detecting and attributing climate and ecosystem change/interaction
3. Understanding impacts of biogeochemical cycle on global/regional carbon cycle
4. Developing new monitoring system for atmosphere-biosphere interaction
