Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences

Applications are welcomed from new Ph.D.'s, independent researchers or more senior scientists seeking partial support for sabbaticals or short visits. Postdoctoral appointments are normally for one year with the likelihood of a renewal for a second year based on satisfactory performance and continued funding.  A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We seek applications in all areas of the climate sciences. This includes research in:

• basic processes in atmospheric and oceanic dynamics
• climate dynamics, variability and prediction
• atmospheric physics and chemistry
• cloud dynamics and convection
• boundary layer processes
• land-and-sea-ice dynamics, continental hydrology and land processes
• physical oceanography
• ocean-atmosphere interaction
• climate diagnostics and analysis
