

Meghan O’Rourke’s first book of poems, Halflife, was published by W. W. Norton in 2007. She is the culture critic of Slate and a poetry editor at The Paris Review, and her poems and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The New Republic, Poetry, The Kenyon Review, and other venues. A finalist for the 2007 Patterson Poetry Prize, she is the recipient of the 2005 Union League and Civic Arts Foundation Award from the Poetry Foundation. She is from Brooklyn , NY.
