Reading by DA Powell & Ann Beattie
On Wednesday, April 16, fiction writer Ann Beattie and poet D. A. Powell will read from their works as part of the Althea Ward Clark W’21 Reading Series of the Program in Creative Writing at the Lewis Center for the Arts. Princeton senior and Program in Creative Writing thesis candidate Cameron White will also read from his fiction thesis project. The reading, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Berlind Theatre at the McCarter Theatre Center, is free and open to the public.

Reading by Jorie Graham
Jorie Graham, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, will read from her work on Wednesday, April 23, at 4:30 p.m. at the Lewis Center for the Arts’ James M. Stewart ’32 Theater at 185 Nassau Street. The event, the 2014 Theodore H. Holmes ’51 and Bernice Holmes Lecture presented by Princeton’s Program in Creative Writing, is free and open to the public.

Dramas of Exile: Feuchtwanger and Brecht
The Program in Theater will present Israeli Professors Galit Hasan-Rokem and Freddie Rokem speaking on two German authors who wrote about living in exile in the U.S. during World War II. Cosponsored by the Program in Jewish Studies, Department of German, and the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies.

"How to Write a Song" Class Performance
Students from the Program in Creative Writing and the Department of Music's spring course on "How to Write a Song" will perform their new, original songs on Monday, April 28. Led by Howard G.B. Clark '21 University Professor in the Humanities Paul Muldoon and songwriter Wesley Stace, the course introduces students to the art of writing words for music. The performance will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Frist Theater at Frist Campus Center and is free and open to the public.
