A Conversation Between Mario Vargas Llosa and Paul Muldoon
The Program in Latin American Studies and the Lewis Center for the Arts present a conversation between Mario Vargas Llosa, the 2010 Nobel Laureate in Literature, and Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon, Chair of the Lewis Center for the Arts. The discussion will focus on Roger Casement, an Irishman who traveled to Peru in the early years of the twentieth century and became an advocate for human and indigenous rights. Casement is the subject of Mario Vargas Llosa’s most recent novel, El sueño del celta [The Dream of the Celt], published by Alfaguara in November 2010. Discussion in English.
