Information for Prospective Students
Dear Prospective Student,
Welcome to dance at Princeton. If you’ve found this page, odds are you’re a dancer or someone curious about exploring dance at college: great! We hope that this website gives a sense of what it’s like to dance at Princeton. Whether you’re a pre-professionally trained dancer debating between college or the audition circuit, a hip-hop dancer self-taught off of YouTube but interested in formal training, or someone who thinks they have two left feet, we think we have something that will appeal to you!
For many students our program is their home away from home and provides a tight-knit community of people with shared interests and passions separate from their home departments. We invite you to browse the rest of our website for an overview of the program and, in particular, to look at our FAQ section for more detailed information. We would also suggest looking at our new alumni spotlight page where recent graduates comment on their time dancing at Princeton and how it’s impacted their lives. Finally, don’t miss the link to the Princeton Arts Supplement, which can be submitted along with the Princeton or Common Application! We hope you take the time to see what we have to offer and that you’ll contact our faculty with any further questions.
