Princeton's Program in Musical Performance provides an opportunity for students to develop their skills as musical performers within a liberal arts context. The program provides a foundation upon which students may build to go on to further training, such as conservatory study at the graduate level. Enrollment in the program is limited to juniors and seniors, but students may begin taking the courses that count toward certificate requirements in the freshman year. Students prepare a major performance project during either their junior or senior year. The music department fully subsidizes the cost of private lessons with department teachers.
