Henry Bial is Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Kansas. He is the author of Acting Jewish:  Negotiating Ethnicity on the American Stage and Screen; the editor of The Performance Studies Reader; and the co-editor (with Carol Martin) of Brecht Sourcebook. His most recent book is Theatre Historiography:  Critical Interventions, co-edited with Scott Magelssen.
