

Mara Isaacs is currently the Producing Director at McCarter Theatre Center, where she is responsible for producing McCarter’s theater series and play development programs. She oversees the transfer of McCarter productions to Broadway (Translations, Anna in the Tropics, Electra) and off-Broadway (Miss Witherspoon, Crowns, All Over, Valley Song), and collaborations with theaters around the country (Seattle Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The Wilma Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, ACT San Francisco, Hartford Stage, Long Wharf Theatre) and internationally (South Africa’s Market Theatre, TCG Travel Grant to Argentina). She was Associate Producer of the Off-Broadway production The Laramie Project and was the Associate Producer of the Taper Lab/New Work Festival and Project Coordinator for New Plays for the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. She is an on-site evaluator for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Philadelphia Theatre Initiative, a mentor for the Mellon and Duke Foundations’ New Generations Program, and was a resident artist at the 2007 Rhodopi International Theatre Collective in Smolyan, Bulgaria.
