

Lisa Kron has been writing and performing theater since coming to New York from Michigan in 1984 and is best known for her plays Well and 2.5 Minute Ride. She's also a founding member of the Obie and Bessie Award winning theater company, the Five Lesbian Brothers. Her new play, “The Wake,” (directed by Leigh Silverman) will premiere this coming season at The Douglas Theater in LA and at then Berkeley Rep. She is currently at work on musical collaboration with composer Jeanine Tesori as well as a new play commissioned by the Sloan Foundation and Playwrights Horizons. She teaches playwriting at Yale School of Drama.
