

Maria Striar is a founder and the Producing Artistic Director of Clubbed Thumb, an Obie Award-winning New York City theater company which commissions, develops and produces funny, strange and provocative new plays by living American writers. She has directed and performed in many Clubbed Thumb shows, as well as numerous productions in regional and downtown NYC venues. Maria conceived and edited 2007’s Funny, Strange, Provocative: Seven Plays from Clubbed Thumb, an anthology which has led to productions in small theaters and schools across the country.
