Written by Tony Award Winner Adam Guettel, this award-winning musical is based on the true story of Floyd Collins, who became a media sensation after he was trapped in a Kentucky cave in 1925. Featuring a hauntingly beautiful score steeped in the bluegrass tradition, Floyd Collins explores the crushing loneliness of being buried alive, and the real human drama behind a sensational media event.

Playwrights Horizon, Inc., New York City, produced FLOYD COLLINS Off-Broadway in 1996.

FLOYD COLLINS was commissioned by The American Music Theater festival, Philadelphia, which produced its world premiere in 1994.

FLOYD COLLINS is presented through special arrangement with R&H Theatricals.
