August Strindberg's controversial examination of power, sex and class will be performed using the principles of Site-Specific Theatre, an approach to theatrical performance that overtly uses the properties, qualities and meanings of a given site to reveal the complex relationship between environment and creativity. The play will be performed with both contemporary and period stagings, designed to explore the evolution of theatrical significance over time.
