Donelle Woolford, Lecture
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 4:30 PM

Donelle Woolford is a young artist and avatar living in New York City. Her paintings and performances investigate the process of mythmaking: how all fields of art contribute images and narratives to the public discourse that, through their circulation over time, become real. For her appearance at Princeton, Woolford will enact her interpretation of Dan Graham’s seminal 1975 performance artwork “Performer/Audience/Mirror.”

Woolford was born in 1980 in Detroit, Michigan, and earned a B.A. from Yale University in 2003. She has had one-person exhibitions in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Torino and Chicago, and has participated in such group shows as The 8th Sharjah Biennial, United Arab Emirates and Double Agent, ICA, London.
