Michele Abeles

Lecturer in Visual Arts in the Lewis Center for the Arts

Michele Abeles lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.  In 2007 she received an MFA in photography from Yale University and in 1999 a BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.  She has exhibited in both the U.S. and abroad. Recent group exhibitions include: New Photography at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; Vide Poche, Sculpture Center, NYC; 12th Biennale de Lyon, France;  Speculations on Anonymous Materials, Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Germany; and Greater New York, PS1 MoMA, NYC. Recent solo exhibitions include English for Secretaries at 47 Canal Street gallery , NYC and at Andreas Melas & Helena Papadopoulos, Athens, Greece.
