Dawn Clements

Lecturer in Visual Arts in the Lewis Center for the Arts

Ms. Clements received her A.B. from Brown University in 1986 and an M.F.A. from the University at Albany (SUNY) in 1989.  Among other colleges, she has taught drawing and painting at Sarah Lawrence College, Brooklyn College and Middlebury College.  She is represented by Pierogi Gallery in Brooklyn, NY and has also exhibited her work at Feigen Contemporary in Manhattan, Bernard Toale in Boston and Acme Gallery in Los Angeles.

Her work has been exhibited in the United States and abroad, most recently at The Kunsthalle Vienna, Dieu Donne, the Taft School and Carleton College Art Gallery.  This year her work will be exhibited in the 2010 Whitney Biennial and she will have a solo exhibition at The Boiler, Pierogi.

Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (NY),  Whitney Museum of American Art,   Western Bridge Collection (Seattle) and other public and private collections.  Ms. Clements lives and works in Brooklyn, NY
