The Mary Quaintance '84 Fund for the Creative Arts Award

The endowed fund is established in memory of Mary Quaintance, Class of 1984, to foster talents similar to those she developed in writing, film studies and literature in the creative arts programs at Princeton University.

GRANT OF $3000

Presented to one undergraduate who has demonstrated talent in writing, film studies, or a combination of the two to pursue a summer project in the arts.

Sophomores and Juniors in the Programs in Creative Writing and Visual Arts may apply.  Applications must include the following:

  • A description of how you will use the funding
  • A description of the original work that will evolve from your use of the funding   
  • A statement about how your academic studies are related to this endeavor   
  • A sample of your work in Creative Writing and/or Film Studies (20 pages maximum)   
  • A budget for your project
