Construction of the Arts and Transit Project will occur over four years in the area around the intersection of University Place and Alexander Street. It will impact streets, parking, sidewalks, bike paths and transit stops and will result in new locations for the Dinky train station and Wawa.

The maps below identify safe routes through the construction area and the location of public amenities during the second segment of work, beginning on June 6, 2013. Construction fencing will be up around areas where demolition and infrastructure work is occurring, and pedestrian paths will be rerouted on Alexander Street near Forbes College. Alexander Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from College Road to University Place, and a detour will be in place.
