Different Cultures, Same Science - Yasushi Suto

November 24, 2009 Tuesday 4:30PM / 145 Peyton Hall Auditorium

In particular, there are a wide variety of fairly common implicit assumptions and understandings in Japan.   You would feel very convenient and comfortable if you know how to behave under those conditions, but may be embarrassed if you do not. I will present my personal experiences that made me realize huge cultural difference in the course of international collaborations toward the same scientific goal.
