UN Peacebuilding

(from left to right) Richard Konteh, Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Sierra Leone speaks with Ambassador Antoine Baza of the Republic of Burundi and Sally Fegan-Wyles, Director of the UN Development Group Office (UNDGO) during the recent UN peacebuilding meeting at Princeton.
The Bobst Center, in cooperation with the Woodrow Wilson School, has also become a base for cooperation with the UN on peacebuilding. In January of 2009, the Center hosted a meeting to discuss the future design of UN peacebuilding activities. UN officials, ambassadors, ministers, and scholars assembled at Princeton to help prepare a report for the approval of the UN Secretary-General. The meeting launched this new area of emphasis within the Bobst Center’s program. See press reports on this meeting and other related activities at Princeton.
