Charlotte Williams - Bridge Year Peru

I have lived in Princeton NJ since I was three, and attended Princeton Day School from Kindergarden to 12th grade. While I have absolutely loved living in Princeton, I cannot wait to experience an entirely new country and culture. I am passionate about Spanish and I love anthropology, psychology, history, art, and writing. I’m also really interested in education and leadership, serving as class president for two years and Community Council President my senior year of high school. I loved participating in the Peer Leadership program, Mock Trial, and Model UN. In my free time I like to draw, paint, pretend that I’m a brilliant piano player, and be my sister’s sous-chef. I developed an interest for Central and South America after a trip to Guatemala in 2009, and began studying ancient and indigenous Latin American culture. I’m fascinated by the Inca, and I’m ecstatic to see Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca! I can’t wait to meet inspiring people, volunteer on incredible projects, and gain a whole new perspective that I can bring back to Princeton.
