Jeremy Rotblat - Bridge Year Senegal

Hello! I’m Jeremy Rotblat from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, a suburb about 25 minutes outside of Philadelphia. I graduated from Cherry Hill High School West where I was involved in different activities such as Band, Mock Trial and National Honor Society. I have a deep love of music and play saxophone, piano and guitar. I also just recently started playing the ukulele that I am bringing with me to Senegal! I love to write, watch movies and play frisbee with friends. I enjoy reading classical literature and learning about different philosophies and religions. While I'm not decided on a major that I'd like to pursue, I'm drawn towards a career that involves education, whether it be teaching or education policy. I'm particularly excited about the possibility of teaching while in Senegal. I'm very interested in foreign language, having studied both French and Latin throughout high school. I look forward to hopefully reaching a higher level of fluency in French as well as learning Wolof and Pulaar. In these upcoming nine months with my six amazing fellow participants I wish to be fully immersed in Senegalese culture and bring what I learn back with me to Princeton's campus when I return.
