Julianna Wright - Bridge Year Senegal

Hi, My Name is Julianna, and I live in Marshfield Massachusetts with my mom, dad, younger brother, and younger sister. I also have an older brother who lives in New York and three adorable cats. I recently graduated from Noble and Greenough School (Nobles). When I was young my parents taught me the value of service to others, and I’ve been active in community service through my family, church, and school for as long as I can remember. At school, I participated in theater, speech, and debate, and I wrote for the school newspaper. I also volunteered for Achieve, an academic enrichment program for lower-income middle-school aged youth, as a mentor and tutor, which sparked a strong passion for education. In 2011 I travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia on a service and cycling trip with Nobles. Both experiences opened my eyes to the concept of global citizenship and service, which inspired me to apply for this bridge year program. I look forward to a fabulous year of learning, service, and fun!
