Important Spring Course Selection Info for Seniors
November 7, 2013
Dear Butler Seniors,
Spring 2014 Course Advising Begins November 18th
You completed your midterm exams. You (hopefully) enjoyed some time off during fall break. Now it’s time to consult with your department adviser and prepare to select your courses for Spring 2014.
Before doing so, please check your degree progress report before you sign up for classes for your final Princeton semester and make sure you have all degree requirements covered. If you have any questions about your distribution requirements or if you are having difficulties with your thesis adviser and/or topic, please let me know right away.
Remember that all A.B. seniors must complete six courses during senior year and a minimum of two courses in the spring. B.S.E. seniors must take four courses each semester, which includes the senior thesis or independent work and at least three taught courses per term.
Spring Course Offerings is now available on the Registrar’s website.
Contact your departmental representative or administrator to schedule an advising appointment during the designated advising window (November 18 - December 3). Be prepared to discuss your general academic plans as well as specific course selections. Make sure to bring two copies of your Course Enrollment Worksheet to your advising meeting, and secure your adviser’s approval. Leave one with your departmental office and keep one for reference when signing up for courses on SCORE.
Note these dates
SCORE is open for senior course selection beginning at 7:30 AM on December 4 and closes at 11:59 PM on December 6. See the Office of the Registrar website for additional SCORE availability during the Spring 2013 semester.
For the current semester, mid-term grades for 100- and 200-level courses can now be seen on SCORE. You may elect to take a class on a P/D/F basis on SCORE between now and November 22, 2013. No grade change options for fall term courses are permitted after November 22nd, which is also the final day that you can drop a class.
As always, I am available to give you an additional layer of advice, or to answer any questions. Please feel free to make an appointment to see me by calling 609-258-3474.
