Economics

Hi, Butler! I’m Appu (short for Aparajita), and I hail from the far-away and exotic land of New Delhi, India. I’m concentrating in Economics and completing coursework towards certificates in Political Economy and South Asian Studies. Recently, I have developed a keen interest in Global Health and Health Policy. I started my time at Princeton as an electrical engineering candidate and battled several real and made-up demons before I made the switch to economics. If you ever feel caught up between departments, I would love to talk about it. In the past summers I’ve interned with a consulting firm, an NGO, as well as with the United Nations (in Rome!). On campus, I am a Peer Tutor and have been involved with Relay for Life, SASA, Princeton Hindu Satsangam, the IRC and the Prince. By the way, I love eating, and talking, so if you ever want to have a conversation, a monologue or need a sounding board on academic or non-academic matters, shoot me an email or come sit with me in the dining hall! I look forward to meeting you all!
