Jayanti Owens
I am a graduate student in Demography and Sociology. When I am not working on my dissertation, you will often find me outdoors. Raised in Minnesota, I spend much of my time going for runs, hikes, bike rides and walks. I find lots of excuses to travel -- I love exploring new cities on foot -- and cook — particularly international fusion dishes created without recipes. Before coming to Princeton, I worked for a research institute in Washington, D.C., where I continued developing interests in educational and labor market inequality, entrepreneurship, and quantitative research methods. Teaching has been one of my highlights from my time at Princeton because I have had a lot of fun working with my students. I look forward to getting to know the undergraduates in Butler this coming year!
