Academic Projects and Activities
As of spring 2013, all funding applications for summer study abroad, senior thesis research, internships, junior project research, independent work and undergraduate conference travel must be submitted through SAFE.
Thesis Research Funding
In addition to funds that are available within individual academic departments, the Office of the Dean of the College administers several funds to support senior thesis research. Juniors wishing to apply for summer research grants apply in the late spring, while seniors may apply in the early fall for funds to conduct research over the fall break or during intersession. The Office of the Dean of the College places announcements in The Daily Princetonian and provides departments with information regarding application dates and procedures.

The Community-Based Learning Initiative works to provide students with opportunities to apply the knowledge and analytic tools gained in the classroom to hands-on research about the pressing issues that affect local communities. For more information about funding opportunities, follow the link for Derian Internships and more in the left navigation bar on the CBLI web site.
Alumni Association Funds
A few alumni funds include money for thesis research and other academic work. Several of these funds are administered by the Office of the Dean of the College, as mentioned above under Thesis Funding. For more information, see also the Alumni Association Funding Guide for Undergraduates.
