Facility Rules and Policies

1. All patrons must swipe a current and validated student ID card or a 2008-2009 facility membership card at the card reader upon entrance to Dillon Gym.

2. No one under the age of fifteen will be allowed to enter Dillon Gym during open recreational hours except children of Princeton University students, faculty and staff members. In these cases, a child must purchase a daily guest pass. Such children must be accompanied by their parent (who must be either an student or facility membership holder). The accompanying adult must remain with the child at all times in the building.

3. Each student or facility membership holder is allowed up to 2 guests per day. A daily guest pass costs $10.00 per person. Payment can be made by cash, check or student account. No bills larger than $20 will be accepted at the ID Desk. Exact change is appreciated as we may not always be able to make change for cash transactions. No refunds will be given for daily guest pass transactions. All guests must be sponsored. Sponsors must accompany guests at all times while in the facility and are responsible for their guest's actions. Solicitation of sponsorship is a violation of this privilege. No one under the age of 18 (with the exception of current Princeton University students) may sponsor a guest. Proof of age is required. Guest passes may not be purchased for reasons of providing personal training or instruction.

4.
Guest access to the facility is a privilege and may be limited or prohibited at any time due to availability of space and management's discretion.

5. All participants must wear athletic non-marking footwear. Black-soled running shoes are not allowed on the basketball courts, dance studio, squash court or multipurpose area.

6. Protective eye-guards are strongly recommended for use when playing racquetball or squash in the University courts and may be checked out at the equipment room in Dillon Gym.

7. The Dillon Gym ID Desk serves as the Lost and Found area for recreational athletes. There is a separate lost and found in Stephens Fitness Center.

8. Varsity Athletics, Instructional Programs, Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs have priority in scheduling all athletic facilities. All recreational facility hours are subject to change due to athletic events.

9. Individuals are responsible for their personal belongings. Lockers and locks are available on a yearly or daily basis. No personal locks are permitted on lockers. Overnight use of a long locker is not allowed.

10. Individuals are responsible for emptying their locker at the end of the school year. For the 2008-2009 academic year all lockers must be emptied by Saturday, June 27, 2009. If your locker is not emptied by the posted date of locker clean-out, all contents will be removed and held for a period of approximately 1 month, at which time it will be donated to an appropriate community agency. For those who fail to empty their lockers of personal belongings, a $10 service fee will be charged when the contents are retrieved.

11. Food and drink (with the exception of water) are not permitted in any of the activity areas of Dillon Gym.
