General Information
Age Groups
There are two different camps held by the Campus Recreation department. One age group is 6-10 year olds known as the Junior Camp, and the other age group is for 11-13 year olds known as the Senior Camp. For the Junior Camp, all campers must be 6 years of age at the start of camp. We regret that there are NO exceptions to this rule.
The campers are divided into gruops by age:
6's
7 & 8's
9 & 10's
11 - 13's
The instructor to camper ratio is 1:8.
Camp Hours
Camp drop off is between 8:00-9:00am and camp pick up is between 4:00-4:45pm. We offer Post-Camp Care. This care is available for 30 min (4:45-5:15pm) after the official camp day ends and the charge is $25.00 per week. We do not offer a daily Post-Camp option, you must pay for the entire week if you need the Post-Camp Care option.
Weekly Schedule
Each day your child will participate in a variety of sports activities, as well as Arts & Crafts and Field Trips. For the campers age 6-10 years old, they will be taught swimming lesson every morning and have a Free Swim session every afternoon. For the campers age 11-13, they will have a Free Swim session every afternoon as well. Each week will have it's own special theme that will incorporate special competitions, including dance competitions.
Lunch and Snacks
Please don't let your camper leave home without lunch and a beverage. We ask that you please do not send money with your camper to buy a beverage on campus as we cannot escort the campers to stores or vending machines. Friday is FREE LUNCH PIZZA and ICE CREAM!! If your child does not eat pizza, please make sure you send a lunch on those days. The camp will provide snacks each afternoon on a daily baiss. If your child requires special attention to dietary needs, please note this on your application form.
Camp Dress
Shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers are appropriate. Due to the activities scheduled for each day, we ask that you do not allow the campers to wear sandals or crocs to camp. This footwear can be dangerous to the children and cause injury when participating in athletic activities. Campers will need bathing suits and towels each day. We also recommend you provide sunscreen on days when the camp is traveling. On cool days, please provide yoru camper with a light jacket or sweater.
