Ways to Partner With Us
There are many ways to contribute to the tremendous support alumni provide their fellow Princetonians:
Join the Alumni Careers Network (ACN)
The Alumni Careers Network (ACN) is a secure online database of alumni volunteering to assist students and fellow alumni with career advice and networking. It is one of the most popular resources used by Princeton students and alumni, as well as an easy way for alumni to be involved and give back. The ACN began in 1980 with a few hundred alumni and now has over 4,000 alumni volunteers worldwide. To volunteer to help students and alumni with career advice, please complete your profile after logging in.
Post Job & Internship Opportunities
Alumni are a valuable source for full-time job leads as well as internships that allow students to explore careers and gain practical work experience under the supervision of on-site mentors. Please visit our Job/Internship Posting page if you are interested in advertising job or internship opportunities to Princeton students and alumni. There is no fee for alumni to post on any system. You may also want to consider participating in our On-Campus Recruiting Program or attending one our of career fairs.
Host a Princeternship for Students
We invite you to provide an “externship” experience to students by participating in the Princeternship Program. For 1-3 days during a break period, a number of alumni host one or more students at their workplace to give them a “day in the life” perspective of their career and industry. This opportunity is particularly important for those students who have little experience in a specific field but a great interest to find out more. Alumni are welcome to register at any time to host students during the Reading Period/Intercession Break or Spring Break periods. The Princeternships generally take place in Philadelphia, New York, or nearby New Jersey.
Speak on Career Panels & Attend Networking Receptions
As professionals and alumni, you have a wealth of information and wisdom to share with students and to ability to encourage them by your own example to explore different career paths. Throughout the year, Career Services holds a number of career talks and student-alumni networking receptions. These events offer students a glimpse into occupations from a wide range of fields, especially those from a variety of majors. They help students add to their knowledge of careers and plan ahead in working towards specific goals. Please contact Beverly Hamilton-Chandler, Director, if you are interested in these events. You may view our calendar for events from this academic year.
