Graduate alumnae authors, Susan Basalla-May *97 & Maggie Debelius *00, will share tips and advice for graduate students interested in pursuing careers outside of academia.

Basalla earned her Ph.D. in English from Princeton University and worked in journalism and new media for six years before joining Art & Science Group, a Baltimore-based consulting firm focused on higher education, in 2004. She has been a regular contributor to the Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Beyond the Ivory Tower” column since 2002. Debelius serves as the Associate Director of the Writing Program at Georgetown University where she also teaches in the English Department. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Princeton University.
