Princeternship Blogs 2010-2011
The Princeternship program is a unique externship experience for Princeton students to connect with alumni to explore a career field by visiting an alum's workplace during academic break periods. This program would not be possible without the support of dedicated Princeton alumni who volunteer to share their time, insights, and experience by hosting students for a "day in the life" glimpse into their industry or profession.
The Office of Career Services offers student participants the option to chronicle their experiences by writing a blog/journal (and sharing photos) for our website. As you read their blogs, you will find information about the types of learning activities involved in the Princeternship program, the alumni hosts and their organizations, the students' observations and impressions of the profession, the field, the workplace environment and culture. We hope other Princeton students will enjoy learning more about the variety of career fields represented in the blogs below and that undergraduates will consider applying for their own Princeternship opportunity in the future.
Please note, Princeternships are offered in a wide range of industries (not all of which are represented below). The blogs/journals below were submitted by students who were permitted by the organization to chronicle their experiences for our website. Understandably, some organizations had restrictions to blogging due to the nature of the industry or organizational policies.
