Eisenhart Room Usage Policy

  • Please leave the room in the same condition (or better than) you found it. All costs related to damages or cleanup are the responsibility of the user.
  • A University account number will be required when making a reservation for use.
  • Be considerate in scheduling.
    • The room is available from 7:00AM until 5:30PM Monday through Friday, except on University holidays. The room should only be used for meetings related to University activities.
    • The room should not be used for classes or quiz sections.
    • Avoid scheduling meetings more than 90 days in advance; do not block out repeating meeting times for more than one semester at a time.
    • Do not over-schedule the room (i.e., do not block out several hours if one or two are all that is needed).
    • Finish your meeting on time.
    • Cancel a reservation if you do not need the room.
  • Leave the room in at least the same condition as it was in before your meeting.
    • Clean off the chalk/white boards.
    • Turn off projection equipment.
    • Return all chairs to their proper location.
    • Turn lights off; lock and close the door.
    • Return the key to Karen Oliver.
  • If food or beverages are served during the meeting:
    • Accidental spills must be cleaned up IMMEDIATELY by the user so the carpet does not become stained. For your convenience, carpet cleaner is kept in the pantry under the sink. Karen should be notified of the spill at the end of your meeting and will arrange for additional cleaning if needed.
    • If a caterer is used, it is the responsibility of the person in the department making the arrangements to be certain that catering items are picked up in a timely manner or to make alternate plans for the items when the meeting is over. Please be certain that any setup does not conflict with earlier events and remember to be available to unlock the room for catering deliveries.
    • Pick up and dispose of garbage (bottles, cups, containers, napkins, and other consumables). A large garbage can is in the kitchenette (extra garbage bags are under the sink). Bagged garbage should be left in the kitchenette until the janitors pick up.
    • Remove coffee pots, hot plates, food platters, and other food and beverage equipment from the conference room.
    • Clean the kitchenette after using.
