Each spring, the editors of the Journal of Chemical Physics select a few of the most innovative and influential articles published in the preceding year to highlight to the community as “Editors’ Choice”.  For 2012, one of the five highlighted articles in the “liquids, crystals, and glasses” area was “A Computational Investigation of the Phase Behavior and Capillary Sublimation of Water Confined Between Nanoscale Hydrophobic Plates”, from lead author Andrew Ferguson *10, now on the faculty of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Also among the article’s authors are Ferguson’s Ph.D. advisors, Professors of Chemical and Biological Engineering Athanassios Panagiotopoulos and Pablo Debendetti.  The article is freely available, even to those without library or subscription access, through the end of 2013.
