Ductal Carcinoma In Situ

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) accounts for 20% of all breast cancer diagnoses in the United States. Graduate student Eline Boghaert in the Nelson lab  used lattice-based computational modeling to explore the progression between classes of DCIS, and found that the balance between cell proliferation and cell death likely determines the final outcome.
