Mahynski G5 Wins Christopher Wormald Prize 2015

CBE Ph.D. student Nathan Mahynski G5 has been selected as the recipient of the Christopher Wormald Prize 2015.  This prize, conferred every two years by the international Thermodynamics Conference Series, is awarded to an outstanding graduate student to recognize research undertaken within the broad scope of the biennial conference.  Included in the award is an all-expenses-paid invitation to present a plenary lecture at the meeting, which will be held September 15-18, 2015, in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Mahynski, who is advised by Professor Athanassios Panagiotopoulos, will be defending his Ph.D. at a Final Public Oral Examination on May 8, and will then begin a prestigious Postdoctoral Research Associateship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, sponsored by the National Research Council.  Congratulations, Nate!
