Doyle ‘85 Named Harvard SEAS Dean

Francis J. Doyle III ‘85, currently Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara, has been named Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, effective August 1.  Doyle received his B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton in 1985.  To quote from the official announcement, “Doyle takes over at a time of great change and opportunity for SEAS. The number of undergraduate concentrators at SEAS has risen steadily in recent years. And the School is undertaking both intellectual and capital planning for an expansion into Allston.”  For the full Harvard press release, click here.
