Johnson *88 Named President of Colorado School of Mines

Paul C. Johnson *88 has been named the 17th President of the Colorado School of Mines (“Mines”; Golden, CO), effective July 1, 2015.  Johnson is currently Dean of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU).  Founded in 1873, Mines currently enrolls approximately 4400 undergraduates and 1300 graduate students across a range of science and engineering disciplines.  Johnson received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton in 1988, working with Professor Roy Jackson, and was a Senior Research Engineer at Shell prior to joining ASU in 1994.  For more details, see Mines’ announcement of the appointment.
