Curtis *89 Named Engineering Dean at UC-Davis

Jennifer Sinclair Curtis *89, currently Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Associate Dean of Engineering for Research and Facilities at the University of Florida, has been named Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of California at Davis, effective October 19.  Curtis received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton in 1989.  Since then, Curtis has not only received extensive recognition for her research achievements, but also currently serves as co-editor of the journal Chemical Engineering Education, as a board member of the Council on Chemical Research, and chair of the National Academies’ Chemical Sciences Roundtable.  Quoting the official announcement from the UC-Davis Chancellor and Provost, “Curtis is a leader who will build upon the already impressive trajectory of the College of Engineering and move it forward on all fronts.”  For the full UC-Davis press release, click here.
